Champion Tool Storage was founded in 2006 with a single goal — to create high quality storage solutions with the end user in mind. In 2007 Champion was chosen by Snap On Industrial and the United States Marine Corps to fulfill its first military contract. Thereafter, Champion Tool Storage and Snap On Industrial won ongoing business with the U.S. military. The company used that expertise to expand into automotive, aerospace, motorsports and industrial markets with a series of well-designed purpose-built workstations, a modular series, and tool storage systems for dealer service bays. Champion prides itself in building to suit each customer’s specific needs. BMW, Ford, Toyota, Mercedes, Lexus and other major automotive brands around the country use Champion products to service the automotive marketplace.
OUR FOUNDER
Garin Buckles developed a passion for smart automotive and industrial design working as a teenager and young adult for fabrication legend Pete Wilkins in Santa Ana, California. During this time Garin was immersed in the IMSA GTP cars of the early 1980’s with projects including factory Porsche 962 efforts and a broad range of other motorsports clients. In 1990, Garin had the opportunity to move to Hood River to work with an acclaimed national original equipment manufacturer. His next venture — fabricating architectural metals — led him to commercial projects from modern lofts in Portland to cruise ship interiors worldwide. During this time Garin discovered his passion for metal storage solutions, which ultimately led him to create Champion Tool Storage. Today Garin leads the product design group and works on the factory floor with his team. The company culture reflects his deep passion for quality USA-made products.
